I have recently finished my Ph.D. in the Department of Political Science at the University of California, Los Angeles. My areas of specialization are Comparative Politics and Political Methodology. I investigate why small parties exist and how do they compete and coordinate to influence policies. I investigate 1. what is the influence of party system structure on policy making, 2. why long pre-electoral coalitions exist (instead a merger) 3. what is the societal foundations of parties and party systems.
